Palet Expo 2023 “Hanze, from past to present”
Palet artist association building
Freedom Weave Exhibition, 2023
Online
So how do you approach that, starting from something that inspires you to create an autonomous work of art? Past inspiration was drawn from a guided tour of Museum de Kantfabriek. From there, the participants proceeded step by step, under the guidance of Erna van Sambeek and learning from each other. The personal, creative process that each
participant enthusiastically embarked upon led to extraordinary, surprising textile works of
art!
The exhibition includes an information folder with texts and photos about the process and the artworks.
Participants: Hetty de With, Jolanda Rietdijk, Christa Driessen, Paulien van Asperen, Monica van Leent-Bergkamp, Gina Vos-Spijk, Margreeth Heijs, Anja Rooijakkers
Stadskazerne
In this exhibition, artists from Kampen connect to the theme of the 2023 IJssel Biennale: EARTH, SOIL, GROUND. They explore the place where they live both literally, in the landscape of the IJssel and the city's history, and figuratively in an investigation into what earth means, or the ground you live on.
At several locations in Kampen; Het Werk, Bovenkerk, and the Stadskazerne.
